Hot Mix Tons Required:

The calculator will estimate the number of tons of hot mix that will be required. This estimate is based on a density for the mix of 115 lbs per cubic foot. Please note that densities will vary somewhat between different mixes, but this value is a standard "rule of thumb" for estimating.

27 cubic feet or 1 cubic yard = 2.025 Tons
115 pounds per cubic foot * 27 cubic feet / 2000 = Tonnage
